Planning

The client request:

“Please build a custom news feed page with categories and 2 level deep subcategories for my new social network built on WordPress”.

The biggest challenge was to thoroughly plan and test everything before the production step.

Therefore, we have started planning a conceptual page with requested modules and functionalities.

More Requests:

  • “Please create a custom admin page on a frontend so only the admin can access it.”
  • “An admin should be able to create, edit and delete categories and subcategories”.
  • “There should be an option to attach a group to multiple categories and/or subcategories”.

Therefore we have started planning a rough conceptual admin page.

The second task was to create a rough plan for adding a group to multiple categories and/or subcategories and to include options for editing, updating and deleting categories and subcategories.

Set promotional section

The third task was to plan an option for managing the promotional section on each category and subcategory page.

Set images and videos group types

The fourth task was to plan an option for managing videos and images sections.

The agile workflow (Kanban)

The project is set in the Trello which is  a project management application. It enables easy, real-time collaboration between our team members.
